The NBA is known for unsportsmanlike conduct, and rather uncalled for actions by the players. Recently, the Warriors back up point guard, Shawn Livingston was suspended for one game for taking a shot at all star and future hall of fame power forward, Dirk Nowitzki. They would later talk it at, and Livingston would later say, "You know, for a white guy, it's pretty impressive". Livingston and Dirk are now on good terms, and everything is normal between them, but the NBA on the other hand, did not take so lightly to it. Normally, that would just have been a technical foul, resulting possession of the ball and two free throws. I guess the NBA are looking forward to the next generation of Nowitzkis, so they are trying very hard to protect the family jewels.

  1. Jaron, even though bringing this up almost seems like you are taking a shot at the Warriors, I will look past that because of your coherence and humor when writing this blog. I completely agree with you (and the NBA) when you mentioned that protecting the two things in the world that could produce another Nowitzki. Good blog! Keep it up.

    1. Not at all, I think that Dirk deserved it, as I am a big warriors fan myself.

  2. Jaron, fantastic blog post. I agree with the NBA that Nowitzki should be heavily protected. I think they should create a rule that states that whoever fouls him gets an automatic flagrant 2. It'll never happen though, the NBA is too corrupt. Great work here on this blog though.

  3. Jaron, great post. I agree that the jewels need protection. He was likely wearing a cup(I hope), but that was still an idiot move by Livingston and it pissed me off. He deserves a suspension because You can's have mediocre players like Livingston taking cheap shots at Players like Dirk.

  4. ...Also I find it funny that this qualifies as an "Amazing Sports Play" as your blog advertises. I won't even mention the Christmas one. Haha.
